Our Field Services Group has extensive experience in drum handling, onsite remediation, and emergency response activities. Our site supervisors have an average of seven to twenty years experience in remediation and emergency spill response activities. Each individual crewmember has extensive experience in Level A, B, and C personal protective equipment, as well as confined space entry, remediation activities, and emergency spill response techniques.
Specifically, Environmental Enterprises, Inc’s Field Services Group has grown and developed to be one of the industry leaders within Cincinnati, and the surrounding tristate areas. EMERGENCY SPILL RESPONSE
The key to Environmental Enterprises, Inc's ability to properly respond to a release begins with experience and knowledge and concludes with being prepared by owning and operating the proper equipment. Environmental Enterprises, Inc’s knowledge and expertise is derived from the experience and capabilities of our staff in the Field Services Group. Environmental Enterprises, Inc prides itself on the ability to provide competent, knowledgeable individuals to a spill scene at all times. Each member of our spill response crews and management staff has gained experience and established a field of expertise through hands-on participation in emergency response activities.
Our response managers and key individuals continue to demonstrate a keen ability to develop, design, and implement creative and innovative technologies for onsite spill response procedures. Environmental Enterprises, Inc also maintains a staff of qualified engineers, field chemists, industrial hygienist, safety officers, project superintendents, and EOD experts. These individuals are available 24-hours a day to assist in the evaluation, characterization, cleanup, removal, and disposal of any hazardous material incident, while protecting not only our workers, but also other response personnel and the surrounding community.
As of 1995, Environmental Enterprises obtained the Coast Guard Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) Classification #119 as a Class “A” responder in rivers and canals. This classification is a joint effort between Environmental Enterprises and Greater Cincinnati Marine. In our estimation this join effort provides an unequaled team for responding to spills on the Ohio River and local tributaries.
Environmental Enterprises and Greater Cincinnati Marine have provided river services for several years, and maintains fully equipped river response trailers in various locations along the Ohio River and Greater Cincinnati area.
With this experience, Environmental Enterprises, Inc has gained the ability to handle a variety of spills in compliance with all the appliance federal, state, and local regulations. Environmental Enterprises, Inc currently holds three emergency response contracts with government agencies including the Ohio EPA, University of Cincinnati, City of Cincinnati, and numerous area-trucking companies. Environmental Enterprises, Inc is also a forerunner in emergency spill response activities for many of Cincinnati’s largest manufacturing firms.
Environmental Enterprises, Inc maintains a large inventory of spill control supplies, an equipped response van and vacuum trucks located at Cincinnati-Dayton Road in Sharonville, which are available for immediate departures. This inventory also includes personal protective equipment available for Level A, B, C, and D spill response activities. Currently, Environmental Enterprises, Inc maintains a large selection of personal protective equipment and air monitoring devices available for emergency spills.
In addition, Environmental Enterprises, Inc’s Field Services Group maintains an extensive supply of spill response equipment for handling emergency spills for a variety of contaminants. Our inventory enhances our ability to respond quickly to a spill scene and to handle spills involving large quantities of materials (e.g., overturned tankers or above ground storage tanks).
Owning and maintaining the proper equipment is only one key to successful emergency response efforts. Environmental Enterprises, Inc also has the properly trained individuals to operate it. Environmental Enterprises, Inc has over ninety personnel with 40-hour OSHA training available to respond to spills. Environmental Enterprises, Inc's project managers have anywhere from seven to over twenty years of experience in the industry. These personnel coupled with our equipment, resources enable Environmental Enterprises, Inc to respond to various spill scenarios in a comprehensive and professional manner.

Environmental Enterprises Inc's full service RCRA permitted part B TSD Facility is important because it provides our spill response crews with easy access with to a TSDF capable of accepting and treating a variety of hazardous waste or spill cleanup residuals. It also allows spill cleanup materials and chemical waste to be disposed of in a timely manner.

From this location, response crews are dispatched and will be at any emergency site in the Cincinnati and Tristate area within 1 to 2 hours from the time of initial contact by a client.
INDUSTRIAL CLEANING
The key to effective industrial cleaning and decontamination is having the chemistry, engineering and safety expertise to develop sound work plans. Environmental Enterprises, Inc has experience with a variety of industrial cleaning and decontamination projects. Each project is unique and presents different challenges. Environmental Enterprises, Inc has developed effective work plans to clean and decontaminate both petroleum and chemical tanks including acids, bases, water reactive, poisons and other liquid and semi-solid materials. Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Service Division welcomes all new challenges and prides itself on its ability to address our clients' industrial cleaning and decontamination needs, no matter how complicated the application.
REMEDIATION SERVICES
Remediation services have a variety of applications and methods that are designed to meet a wide range of environmental goals. Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Services Division is committed to evaluating a remediation project and developing a remediation plan that takes into account the various technologies available to meet the clients' goals in the most effective and economical manner possible.
Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Services Division provides a comprehensive remediation package including full site assessments, remediation, disposal and post-remediation services. The actual excavation associated with a remediation project is secondary to the site assessment and post-remediation services.
Site assessment is very important in defining a remediation project. Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Services Division through Environmental Enterprises Inc's Consultants & Engineers has developed a variety of site assessments based on the clients' needs and goals. Our experience includes Phase I site assessments involving visual inspections to more detailed closure and remedial action efforts. In either case, Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Service Division, either through its own team or through the use of other divisions of the Environmental Enterprises Inc family will assess a remediation project and structure a site assessment to meet the clients' needs and goals. Specifically, Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Services Division will provide:
a. In-situ and ex-situ bioremediation
b. Soil vapor extraction
c. Air sparging and groundwater recovery
d. Traditional removal and replacement technologies
All these technologies have specific applications, which are very effective when used with a valid assessment and a correct implementation plan. Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Services Division personnel have the capability to make such assessments and develop the implementation plans.
PCB SERVICES
The Environmental Enterprises, Inc family of services provides a comprehensive PCB program. The Field Services Division performs PCB transformer draining, flushing, retrofilling, replacing and/or disposing. Environmental Enterprises Inc's Field Services Division, through Environmental Enterprises, Inc's Treatment, Storage, Disposal Facilities will dispose of PCB light ballast, capacitors, switches, and other PCB containing materials. The EEI family of services has developed a recycle program for PCB materials.
FACILITY CLOSURES AND DECONTAMINATION
Facility closures consolidate into one project all the services of the various Environmental Enterprises Inc divisions. The Environmental Enterprises Inc Field Services Division's "Value Added Service" advantage is its extensive experience with closures. Environmental Enterprises Inc has completed the closure of various types of facilities including plating operations, which used cyanides, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) treatment facilities, storage facilities and other types of operations. Currently, Environmental Enterprises Inc is completing various RCRA closures. This work has given Environmental Enterprises Inc and its personnel extensive experience in working with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulators and regulations. This technical and regulatory experience is crucial in providing a comprehensive, economically balanced closure service.
TANK CLOSURES
Environmental Enterprises, Inc 's Field Services Division has Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), Kentucky Environmental Protection Agency (KEPA), and Ohio Bureau of Underground Storage Regulation (BUSTR) certified tank installers and a professional engineer on staff to provide petroleum tank and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) closures. EEI's Field Service Division personnel will customize a tank closure around a client's needs. Environmental Enterprises, Inc 's Field Services Division provides a full turnkey service to its clients or will also provide closure reports and certification while the client employs their own equipment and labor for tank excavation and removal.
Environmental Enterprises, Inc operates two vacuum trucks designed for industrial cleaning. One truck is a 2,000-gallon unit with a hydraulic rear hatch that dumps for easy clean out of sludges. This unit also has a 2,500 pounds per square inch (psi) water blaster with a 300-gallon holding tank. The second truck is a 3,000-gallon MasterVac that is capable of both wet and dry (HEPA) applications. This unit operates with 3100 cfm and a vacuum of 27 inches of mercury. This unit is also outfitted with a hydraulic rear hatch and a 2,500-psi water blaster. These units are ideal for tank cleaning because it combines into one unit the water blasting and vacuum capabilities needed to effectively provide industrial cleaning services.
