QUALITY CONTROL/QUALITY ASSURANCE
Environmental Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is first and foremost dedicated to the quality of its work. This pride in excellence begins at the management level and continues throughout the entire analytical team. It is only through our highly experienced and dedicated professional staff, utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation, that this goal can be achieved.
A full-time quality control manager reviews all data and monitors compliance with established protocols and standard operation procedures. An internal quality control program consisting of duplicates, spikes and blind performance samples enables EEI to attain a high level of quality assurance.
Duplicates/Spikes: 1 sample in 20 is duplicated and spiked when applicable for the particular analysis. All sample preparations, digestions, extractions and analyses are carried out in accordance with established standard operating procedures. This type of quality control checks the analytical method for precision and accuracy.
Blind Performance: On a quarterly basis, blind samples are analyzed for all parameters. These blind samples serve to discover problems such as instrument errors, poor technique and faulty standards.
EPA certified reference samples are analyzed daily. Results are required to fall within the provided performance specifications. EPA Methods and Standard Methods are followed as directed and all data is reviewed to ensure high quality results.
EEI currently participates in numerous on-going performance evaluations. These include:
- US EPA Water Supply Laboratory Performance Study (WS)
- US EPA Water Pollution Laboratory Performance Study (WP)
In addition to our Standard Report Package, EEI offers Level I and Level II Quality Control Report Packages that include more detailed quality control information.
As a result of our confidence in our current quality control program, external on-site audits by the EPA or any other agency is welcomed and encouraged by EEI. If you should like more in-depth information about our quality control program, a QA/QC manual is available upon request.
PRICING AND TURNAROUND:
Environmental Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) offers competitive pricing for all analyses. We supply sample containers with proper preservatives, coolers, chain of custody forms and shipment of sample kits to you at no charge. If you would like to request a quotation or if you would like more in-depth information please contact us.
Our turnaround time varies depending on parameter, sample matrix and analytical workload. Generally, normal turnaround time is 1-2 weeks for inorganic and volatile organic analyses and 2-4 weeks for synthetic organic chemical analyses and extensive analytical projects. Rush turnaround is available upon request, but is dependent on current workload. Rush turnaround rates typically involve a surcharge of 100% for 1-2 day turnaround and 50% for 3-5 day turnaround depending on the particular analysis.
